Position Title: Director of Membership
Reports to: CEO Location(s): Virtual Office location Full-time Position
The Director of Membership will be responsible for managing all membership related activities including; member engagement, member retention, member outreach, membership growth, sponsorship growth, manage assigned committees, regions and various volunteer groups.
Membership Retention & Engagement
Develops and manages a comprehensive program for membership engagement and retention.
Develops an annual work plan for membership, which contributes to NEFA’s strategic plan.
Develop strategies to ensure regular member check-in process to ensure engagement with NEFA initiatives.
Follow up with new members through a coordinated member onboarding and engagement process with CEO.
Develop strategies to increase engagement with inactive members.
Create monthly membership reports.
Work with team to achieve 90% membership retention.
Collaborates with the CEO, NEFA team, and volunteer leadership to execute persuasive organizational and value proposition messages for all member personas. Implement the strategic and tactical promotion of member benefit programs and events to these key target audiences via print, direct mail, and digital marketing platforms.
Creates, implements, and executes annual membership renewals and retention plans to ensure annual goals are met or exceeded.
Committees & Volunteer Groups
Manage various NEFA Committees, as assigned by CEO, to ensure members are engaged with activities and initiatives offered by NEFA.
Monitor and provide advice on various activities in each region.
Works with CEO, Director of Events, and Regional volunteers to create educational tools and events that add value for members.
Conference and Events:
Assist team in driving attendance for events and member engagement.
Assist team with developing creative conference offerings with CEO, and conference planning committee, based on emerging trends.
Assists with regional, virtual, and educational initiatives with the team.
Increase membership by 25% annually.
Meet and/or exceed sales goals determined by CEO.
Add all prospective members into Salesforce database.
Develop membership campaign, using Salesforce Pardot tool.
Document and maintain the “notes” tab in Salesforce for all contact with prospective members.
Develop comprehensive prospective member pipeline through various industry resources.
Increase sales for the NEFA Partner Program by 20% annually.
Develop sales cycle strategy.
Track and manage the Partner Program throughout the year.
Review and enhance the Partner Program based upon member input.
Prospective Membership Materials
Work with CEO and Director of Marketing to create compelling membership materials that portrays the NEFA Value proposition for prospective members.
Prepare and analyze prospective member reports
Adjust sales strategy based upon trends and reports.
Develop measurement and reporting to track the effectiveness of all membership activities. Prepare reports for CEO.
