The Associate Director of Marketing and Fan Experience will serve as the primary marketing contact and be responsible for the development and execution of marketing plans for football and men's basketball as well as other sports, both ticketed and non-ticketed. In this role, you will oversee the management of the marketing student intern program, consisting of hiring, training and developing student staff, manage the email marketing program in order to increase attendance, revenue and awareness for our teams and programs and participate in the Athletic Department’s efforts to maximize attendance at our events through traditional and non-traditional marketing and promotional opportunities. In addition, you will serve as a member of the intercollegiate athletics marketing team that is involved in all aspects of marketing for all our teams, including: planning, advertising, promotion, public relations, program and product development, distribution, and research to meet the department’s goals and objectives as well as provide exceptional customer service to fans, donors, staff and friends of Purdue University.
3 years progressive marketing, promotions and in-game promotion management
Ability to encompass the strategic mission of Purdue University and Intercollegiate Athletics with tact and diplomacy at all times
Strong interpersonal, creative, motivational and communication skills are essential, including the ability to communicate well in writing and speaking before groups
Excellent organizational, project management, problem-solving and customer service skills
Ability to influence and build work relationships among a diverse workforce at all levels
Ability to effectively meet established deadlines in a timely manner
Must possess a learning orientation to changing technology impacting athletics marketing, promotions and communications processes
Significant knowledge of Microsoft Office
Demonstrable proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite
Fluency of social media platforms outside of personal use
Ability to communicate and adhere to University, Big Ten Conference and NCAA policies, procedures, rules and regulations
