MANAGER OF DATA ANALYTICS, MIT Technology Review (MITTR), to support the analytic needs of MITTR by analyzing web traffic and other data to produce reports, insights, and new questions that will have a material impact on the success and health of its business. Will be the principal point of contact for MITTR leaders with regard to gathering and analyzing data; and provide insights and make recommendations based on a growing strategic understanding of MITTR's mission and commercial and editorial objectives.
Job Requirements
REQUIRED: bachelor's degree in a relevant field; five years' experience working with analysis and reporting tools; expert-level proficiency with the primary components of Google Analytics, Google Data Studio, and Google Tag Manager; two years' experience with advanced web analytics methodologies, e.g., experimentation and testing, competitive analysis, surveys, and market research; high-level proficiency with Excel; experience and fluency with online media and/or e-commerce environments; understanding of and ability to apply complex web ecosystems and best practices; expertise with customer data platforms and other business intelligence tools; experience writing and tuning SQL queries and comfort with the tools and languages most often used to gather and manipulate data; experience integrating third-party APIs (data sources) into a business intelligence stack; experience measuring the success of digital marketing efforts, e.g. social, SEM/PPC, and SEO campaigns; working understanding of core website technologies (HTML, CSS, JS); excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to interact effectively with end-users and technical resources at all levels and work effectively both independently and as a member of a cross-functional team; and sound judgment when identifying issues and knowing when to escalate.
