The part time Communications & Marketing Coordinator will manage production, implementation, and oversight of a broad range of internal and external communications and marketing initiatives across web, digital, and print media. The Coordinator will report jointly to the WFCPC Manager to ensure the goals of the Center are being met and the Director of Communication to ensure that the efforts are integrated into the Department communications. Responsibilities
Develop and implement comprehensive communications and marketing plans to promote the primary patient care, research, and education missions of the WFCPC
Ensure that the WFCPC is well-represented at online and in-person venues critical to the cerebral palsy community.
Manage web properties for the WFCPC including content production, information maintenance, news items, and administrative oversight.
Manage and update the social media accounts of the WFCPC collaborating where appropriate with institutional partners.
Production and management of digital content (video, photography, graphics, etc.) required for web and social media distribution.
Provide support for educational and community events, including project management, promotion, and logistical support.
Maintain close ties with Columbia University Irving Medical Center, Columbia???s Faculty Practice Organization, and New York-Presbyterian Hospital public relations, social media, and marketing teams to ensure that content strategy is in alignment with institutional initiatives and policies
Solicit and mange intake of stories and content from clinicians, researchers, and administrators
Develop and maintain partnerships with affiliated organizations to increase traffic/visibility
Track, analyze, and report on social media and correlated web-traffic performance across all distribution channels
Support faculty and administrative leadership in development of strategic marketing and communications priorities at the CP Center, and identify opportunities to improve internal and external marketing communications.
Assist and support the marketing communications team with various departmental marketing and communications projects as needed.
Work with Development to prepare presentations and proposals for prospective donors.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor???s degree and a minimum of 2-3 years marketing, social media, digital production experience
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premier (FinalCut or similar)
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor???s degree and a minimum of 2-3 years marketing, social media, digital production experience
Strong working knowledge of social media management platforms, website content management environments (Drupal preferred), and web/social analytics tracking and reporting (Google Analytics)
Proven track record of successful implementing multi-chanel digital media campaigns to attract and engage target audiences
Experience managing production of web-ready digital content, with proven track record meeting production goals within budget and on-time
Strong interest in health and healthcare
Work creatively with limited resources and creative problem solving
