The University of Iowa Department of Athletics seeks applications from self-motivated, results-oriented individuals with the knowledge, ability and interpersonal skills required to serve as the Assistant Director of Marketing. Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be responsible for contributing to the creation and execution of the marketing department that supports the UI Department of Intercollegiate Athletics and its 22 sports programs.

Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, advertising, sports marketing, sports administration or another related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum of one year of experience as a full-time professional and/or post-bachelor's degree in fast-paced, high-profile collegiate or professional sports marketing position.
Working knowledge of and an ability to:
Design and implement complex marketing and advertising plans including email marketing for a sport
Manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
Produce excellent work (e.g., advertising copy, social media content, game production elements, script writing, and video concepts).
Operate effectively within a highly regulated team environment.
Demonstrates proficiency in using basic office support software (word processing, spreadsheets, and email).
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work constructively and collaboratively in a diverse environment, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills and ability to build trusting relationships.
