The Department of Health and Fitness Studies at Regis College is seeking an Adjunct Lecturer for the fall 2022 semester for a course entitled, Sport Marketing & Technology. This is an upper-level course within the Sport Management major. The course provides an in-depth investigation of the various techniques and strategies used in meeting the wants and needs of consumers in the sport industry as well as understanding how sport can be used to assist in the marketing of other companies and products. Areas addressed include sports marketing and technology versus traditional marketing, analysis of the sport industry, importance of market research, use of data-based marketing, and the development of sponsorship and endorsement packages. It is a 15-week course that begins on September 6, 2022, and runs through the fall semester. The course is taught in person on the Weston campus.
The course outline and textbook are available for the instructor, as well as previous Moodle course materials. The course is scheduled for Fridays 11:00 am – 1:30 pm.
Teach SMT 342 Sport Marketing and Technology as an in-person course
Engage with all responsibilities associated with teaching: content preparation, grading, office hours, student engagement, academic assessment, etc.
Meet with Dept. Chair periodically to discuss content, student progress, challenges, etc.
Qualified Candidates Must Possess:
A Master’s degree or higher in Sport Management or a related field
Knowledge of sport marketing and the use of technology in marketing endeavors
Evidence of prior teaching experience at the undergraduate level preferred
Commitment to creating an inclusive classroom learning environment in keeping with the University's commitment to inclusive excellence in a diverse educational community.
Ability to collaborate with other faculty
Ability to utilize technology necessary for teaching including but not limited to: Office 365, Moodle, library and other online resources
Working Conditions/Physical Demands*:
