The Event Digital Marketing Specialist will serve as an integral member of the College of Arts and Sciences newly formed Academic Engagement and Student Experience Team, which brings together key student serving functions including academic advising, career services, international programs and recruiting.
The College of Arts and Sciences is the largest academic unit at Indiana University Bloomington. It is composed of 40+ departments, 50+ Centers, Programs, and Institutes, while also including the Eskenazi School of Art, Architecture and Design, the Hamilton Lugar School of Global and International Studies, and The Media School.
Faculty in the College teach over 50% of the Indiana University (Bloomington) credit hours and the College occupies about 1.3 million square feet of space in 80+ buildings on the Bloomington campus.

Marketing is a critical component in growing student enrollment for the College of Arts and Sciences. With a focus on managing marketing and communications efforts that support activities of the College's Recruitment team, this position will collaborate with faculty and staff, current students and alumni, and a wide array of other campus partners to develop and implement strategies for attracting students to the College's programs of study.
The College's paramount goal is to recruit students from a variety of diverse backgrounds who are academically outstanding.
Works with the WCMS, Salesforce, and LiveWhale, to design and produce digital marketing emails and other digital communications.
Support digital and print marketing efforts for the College recruiting events(e.g., Direct Admit Days, regional Direct Admit events, URM-focused events, Information Sessions)
Support digital marketing efforts for specialized department and program events (e.g., Engagement Fairs, Department-Focused Recruiting Events, Student Event Series, etc.)
Sends follow-up College Information Session communications to gather presentation feedback, add additional points of contact with prospective College students, and provide critical information about next steps in the enrollment processes
Manages, interprets, and reports on analytics from event campaigns in order to improve engagement and participation
Independently develops and executes basic and increasingly more complex strategic marketing plans for a department or functional area within a department to advance goals and objectives, including data collection and market research, target market definition, development of project timelines, sourcing of promotional materials, and marketing content creation.
Responds to inquiries and requests from stakeholders and explains information regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
Manages relationships with various internal and external stakeholders, including vendors, and acts as a collaborative resource in curating marketing plans to relevant initiatives, groups, events, and programs.
Regularly researches relevant subject matter to increase knowledge in area(s) of specialty, including information on various marketing channels (print, online, electronic, email, social media, and direct mail).
May participate in team-based marketing planning to align strategies and deadlines across various concurrent projects and initiatives.
Collaborates with users of various software programs and creative platforms to create and deliver content and marketing materials in multiple formats to a variety of audiences.
May provide guidance to lower-level Marketing Generalists.
Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, English, public relations, or related field
2 years in relevant field

Working Conditions / Demands
This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.
$46,000 - $50,000
