The Director of Web & Digital Experiences will be responsible for the overall strategy, management, and user experience of the Atlantis website and mobile platforms, driving solutions and improving conversions throughout the customer journey. This person will manage the product roadmaps, as well as key vendors and will work closely with digital, CRM, revenue, global and on-property marketing teams to create seamless and personalized consumer-first web and mobile experiences that increases traffic and bookings pre, during and post stay. They will be responsible for bringing the platforms to life showcasing the Atlantis brand story through innovative digital technologies along with engaging experiential content, that is fresh, accurate and up-to-date.
Strategy & Analytics
Oversee the Atlantis Paradise Island digital experience focusing but not limited to the websites and Mobile App, as well as, project manage the enhancements that improve the customer journey and builds the brand image
Manage the areas of UX, Web design, Web Architecture, Analytics, and SEO to create a cohesive and connected experience, tailored to new and repeat visitor profiles.
Map out short and long-range website and mobile app enhancements and improvements
Provide oversight of web and mobile metrics strategy and drive optimization efforts utilizing web analytics, with special focus on funnel efficiency and increase in conversion rate to continually improve the user’s journey through site improvements and enhancements
Establish & monitor KPIs for digital marketing platforms to ensure their success including site speed, page usability, conversion, customer retention, and shopping cart abandonment
Work with the CRM team to develop customer segments, and data collection points, to use towards personalization and elevating a guest’s experience.
Create and document use cases, functionality, and enhancements necessary to achieve a seamless costumer journey
Develop and own the A/B testing process to continually optimize the users experience and conversions
Content Management & Project Management
Work with team members to plan new and existing content, including copy, images, and video, that will be displayed on the Atlantis sites.
Manage the website and mobile content strategy process — working collaboratively with team members to execute a digital content calendar, guiding the best way to bring the content to life online and ensuring all requests for content changes or corrections on all Atlantis websites are completed in a timely manner
Help create and maintain landing pages including special offers, events, and activities presented on Atlantis sites according to stakeholder information
Collaborate with designers and developers, both internal and external, to create compelling digital experiences that align with the brand style guidelines
Develop and maintain a SEO keyword plan with our agency to increase visibility and organic rankings on search engines
Drive content personalization strategy, implementation, testing and optimization
Identify, recommend, and execute improvements - Blend analytics, user behavior, and UX best practices to develop strategies which deliver outstanding digital end user experiences throughout the conversion funnel
Be the lead on the Content Management Systems (CMS) driving usability recommendations, managing users, being the expert trainer
Oversee the website and mobile app ticketing system – implementing and responding to all content update requests from the property team
Respond to and troubleshoot any website or mobile app issues in a timely manner, coordinating with development teams to ensure site stability
Ensure global compliance including topics such as accessibility, security, and data privacy
Collaborate with IT and web developers on website servers, infrastructure, CMS and overall performance of the website and mobile app for support, troubleshooting and resolution of technical issues
Manage all website URLs with our domain management company
Drive website roadmap, project consideration and prioritization, as well as vendor evaluations
Maintain knowledge of innovations and strategies in websites, eCommerce, mobile sites, development tools and design trends and interactive web solutions to improve the digital experience, engagement, and satisfaction of new and returning consumers
Oversee website 3rd party platforms such as Wistia video management system and BlueConic pop-up and CRM platform
10+ years of marketing and web strategy experience working with high traffic sites, mobile apps, and using Content Management Systems
Passionate about creating easy to use, yet experiential web and mobile experiences
Creative thinking, attention to detail, ability to work independently and in a team
Self-starter with strong project management experience and the ability to organize multiple priorities, is a must for this position
Strong creative writing skills
Has Google Analytics, WordPress, and HTML knowledge and is comfortable with PhotoShop, as well as is proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.
Experience in customer segmentation, dynamic content, and testing methodologies (i.e., A/B, multivariate, etc.)
Be able to multitask and handle rapidly shifting priorities, short deadlines and must have the ability to be responsive under time pressure.
Proficient skills in UX/UI design
Strong digital analytic background with the ability to use data to drive strategy and design recommendations.
Possesses excellent communication, time management and organizational skills, as well as, has a strong eye for detail.
Experience collaborating with multiple agencies (creative, technical, database, etc…)
Understands that websites and mobile apps are a 24/7 part of the hotel business and at times flexible hours are required to troubleshoot errors and meet tight deadlines.
Bachelor’s Degree required
Must have hospitality experience and a passion for travel
