Job Description: What We Are Looking For
Baylor University is seeking a Social Media Analyst responsible for using research to inform and generate media evaluation reports and managing/generating content for university social media accounts. A Bachelor's degree, a minimum of three years relevant experience, and an active Christian faith are required. A Master's degree and five years of relevant experience are preferred. Preference will also be given for candidates with degrees in Journalism, Public Relations, Communication, Professional Writing, Marketing, or related fields.
A hybrid work arrangement will be considered on a case by case basis.
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
What You Will Do
Writes daily updates and analysis on current news & events, digital marketing efforts and brand development
Uses quantitative tools to gather media information and to analyze trends including the effectiveness of digital marketing
Monitors social and traditional media for breaking news and events
Manages one or more university social media platforms (plans and posts content, monitors comments/tags/DMs, etc.)
Generates content for university social media platforms
Strong writing skills - Quickly synthesize and organize information into clear and concise reports using excellent grammar and vocabulary
Research and find information, analyze and synthesize to identify patterns and trends
Demonstrated ability to meet ongoing tight deadlines
Social media platform management and content generation (photo/video experience is a plus)
Software, Technology Skills or Other Skills:
Social media, media reporting & analysis tools, email, graphics and/or photo & video editing tools.
Writing skills, Priority and time management, Versatility, Sharing knowledge, External awareness, Organizational awareness, Analytical thinking
