Job DescriptionThe Assistant Director of Data Analytics will support thedevelopment and implementation of strategies that engage alumni and donorsthrough a variety of digital channels. As part of the communications andmarketing team in the Office of University Advancement, this individual willhelp bring digital campaigns to life using data and analysis to maximize thesuccess of the division's efforts.
Reporting to the SeniorAssociate Director of Digital Marketing, the Assistant Director of DataAnalytics will be expected to analyze data across engagement and acquisitioncampaigns, dive into website analytics/optimization,manage and audit interest coding for constituents, and communicate insightfulrecommendations to clients based on trends within campaigns and at the globallevel of BC's digital engagement. TheAssistant Director of Data Analytics is a vital contributor to the successfulimplementation of multichannel appeals and communications and will help driveintelligent and robust segmentation strategies.
To be successful, theAssistant Director of Data Analytics must be comfortable working in afast-paced, team-oriented environment with strong attention to detail andexperience with data analysis. In addition to working with other members of thedigital marketing team, the Assistant Director of Digital Analytics willpartner closely with other members of the Advancement Communications andMarketing department, including developers, designers, and content producers.They will also collaborate with other stakeholders in UA--including alumnirelations, annual giving, gift planning, parent engagement, stewardship, andevents--to analyze behavior of UA's broadest audiences.
Primary Duties
- Support digital marketing efforts aimed at increasing engagement and fundraising participation with alumni, donors, parents, and other audiences
- Build strategic and tactical foundation for data-driven marketing efforts across key clients, including list management and data auditing
- Create and segment audiences on each channel to ensure maximum engagement, exploring data-driven options for personalization within communications
- Analyze and monitor metrics across email, web, and social media in real-time to create a holistic view of digital marketing success and unveil insights and opportunities to improve traction based on the data
- Dive into large data sets to clean and integrate data from various sources (media, site, CRM)
- Provide and present the data-driven recommendations to key decision makers
- Create and maintain digital reporting dashboards for multiple clients, including a master dashboard of intersectional audience insights for the Digital Marketing team
- Collaborate closely with colleagues and stakeholders to identify and meet digital marketing needs
- Review results in real-time to make adjustments to plans and strategies for upcoming digital campaigns
- Act as a point of contact for Advancement Information Systems (AIS) to create segmented email distribution lists that will allow for strategic digital communication
- Have an understanding of digital marketing best-practices and knowledge of emerging trends in digital marketing
Hiring Range: $69,100 - $86,350;salary commensurate with relevant experience.
RequirementsThis position requires a Bachelor's degreeand a minimum of two years of directly related digital marketing fundraisingexperience or related experience, with proven organizational and projectmanagement skills. Aptitude for analysis and understanding data and numbers iscritical. Basic knowledge of one or more of the following is highly preferredfor the Assistant Director of Digital Analytics: email marketing tools such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud,online giving form providers (GiveCampus, Scalefunder, iModules), Googleanalytics, Power BI or Tableau, Sequel, Python, Blackbaud CRM or onlinedonor databases.
