Responsibilities
With Director of Alumni Engagement, develops and implements alumni volunteer programs and opportunities, to deepen the connection of alumni of all programs with the school and to bolster its long term reputation. Manages alumni volunteer engagement program and Salesforce database, working in close partnership with other Haas units including the program offices, MBA Career Management Group, faculty, research centers and institutes to match alumni with and promote volunteer opportunities.
Manages recruitment and training of MBA reunion volunteers and handles promotion and communications on behalf of volunteer committees as needed.
Supports volunteer data collection, integrity and reporting, working in partnership with Information Strategy & Analytics team.
May research various topics and gather relevant data to inform unit strategic plans, keeping management informed as necessary and providing input as required.
Partners with program leads in Haas Technology Solutions on issues related to the Salesforce Volunteer Database.
Liaises with Haas Technology Solutions, University Development & Alumni Relations, and Cal Alumni Association to troubleshoot complex, technical services.
Adopts and champions technical efficiencies to promote accurate engagement tracking and reporting.
Maintains, collaborates, and deploys, as needed, tools to further information and data sharing.
Manages select volunteer marketing and communications.
Utilizing Salesforce Marketing Cloud, assembles, designs and disseminates all communications on behalf of Bay Area regional alumni chapters.
Amplifies campus partner events and podcasts across alumni social media platforms and to the alumni events calendar.
Serves as backup email communication preparer for Associate Director, Alumni Communities and Associate Director, Digital Marketing.
Responds to constituent inquiries and supports Alumni Relations Engagement Team on office support.
Manage inbound requests and inquiries from campus partners and stakeholders seeking information on constituents. Work in close partnership with Information Strategy & Analytics team and University Development & Alumni Relations to fulfill list requests.
Answers daily requests via the Alumni Relations general email inbox.
Responds daily to constituent inquiries, questions and requests regarding CalNet, MBA CareerNet, @cal, email forwarding, and LinkedIn. Oversees and responds to requests for Haas Alumni Linkedin Groups.
As needed, liaises with Haas Technology Solutions, University Development & Alumni Relations and Cal Alumni Association to troubleshoot any single sign on (SSO) issues.
Records and tracks all relevant engagement in Cal Advancement Data System (CADS).
Gathers, prepares, and ships materials and gifts to alumni volunteers as directed/needed.
Manages, organizes and tracks Alumni Relations engagement team swag.

Required Qualifications
Thorough knowledge of basic concepts, principles, and procedures of building and maintaining effective relations with alumni, internal and key constituencies, including diverse constituents.
Thorough written, verbal and interpersonal communications, tact and political acumen to effectively represent the campus.
Thorough research, analytical and critical thinking skills, including sound judgment and decision-making skills and skill to correctly identify real and potential problems, advising management as required, and proposing effective strategic resolutions.
Skill in project management, including event planning and meeting deadlines.
Excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrating a desire to promote diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging to establish and maintain positive & professional working relationships with colleagues, students and team members.

Education/Training:
Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training.
Preferred Qualifications
Thorough knowledge of the campus and the Haas School, its mission, goals, objectives, programs, achievements, infrastructure and issues of concern.
Demonstrated ability to learn and optimize software platforms and technical solutions; experience with and knowledge of Saleforce database platforms.
Demonstrated ability to foster diversity, inclusion and cultural awareness.
Salary & Benefits
This is a 100% time (40-hrs a week), monthly paid, exempt career position. Annual salary is commensurate with experience within the range of $73,100.00 to $85,000.00.
Under California law, the University of California, Berkeley is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role and should not offer a salary outside of the range posted in this job announcement. This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, analysis of internal equity, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be offered a salary at or near the top of the range for a position. Salary offers are determined based on final candidate qualifications and experience. The budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position is $73,100.00 to $85,000.00 .
