Position: Communication Manager Reports to: Director of Strategic Marketing and Communications FLSA Status: Exempt
Job Summary
Reporting to the Director of Strategic Marketing and Communications, this position focuses on building brand awareness for the School externally and increasing the breadth and depth of our communications internally. The Manager will interact daily with the wider Sacred Heart Greenwich community—from students and teachers to alumnae and parents. The ideal candidate has a desire to learn more about digital marketing, public relations and marketing and is a creative thinker looking to find inventive ways to connect with our community. The Manager will be responsible for:
Managing and drafting website content to ensure the site is accurate and up to date
Creatingand executing variety of digital and printed communications
Implementing social media strategy, utilizing photos and videos to connect with community and accurately tell the Sacred Heart story
Attending Campus events to capture photos and videos to be used across School platforms (social media, website, advertising, etc.)
Identifying and drafting weekly stories that showcase events and community members
Participating in regular professional development to stay relevant on new trends and learn new digital strategies
Qualifications
3-7 years years of related communications, writing or social media experience (internships and coursework can count toward experience years)
Proficient in Premiere Pro/Final Cut Pro as well as other editing app used for social media
Impeccable writing and communications skills; a creative storyteller (samples required)
Highly organized and detail-oriented
A team player who can also work independently
Experienced with the changing media landscape and emerging new media channels
Proficient in web editing software (Finalsite) and marketing experience a plusHolds a Bachelor’s Degree
Availability for occasional evening and weekend events This is a 12-month position
