Job Summary:
Under general direction, this position is responsible for the development and implementation of marketing and communications strategies that help deliver the Universitys mission and goals. This position will build collaborative relationships across the University, understand market and competitive trends and insights, leverage multi-channel marketing and communications strategies, and develop measurement strategies and reporting while optimizing for increased success. This position will work collaboratively with existing marketing and communications experts in the Marcom division.
Job Duties:
Oversee and direct account planning team, develop collaborative relationships with key partners across the University, including existing marketing and communications teams, Deans, Divisions, etc., striving to integrate and align marketing and communications efforts,
Provide strategic marketing and communication planning expertise and day-to-day support focused on cultivating opportunities and building consensus across the enterprise,
Proactively develop multi-channel marketing and communication plans, partnering with Marcom division and additional experts, including market and competitive insights, brand strategy, audience/persons, key messages, channels, timing and measurement,
Utilize resources to understand market and audience insights including demographics, psychographics, and competitive insights,
Monitor and measure marketing and communications plans for effectiveness, proactively identifying optimization opportunities,
Manage clients provided marketing and communications budgets per initiative
Create project and creative briefs to help guide creative development, develop project timelines, key deliverables and milestones
Develop Communications to key constituents, including ability to develop and execute (when needed) content for PR, social, web, direct-to-consumer, etc.
Regularly report progress and updates to supervisor

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of marketing and communications strategies across various media channels including print, digital, PR, direct, etc. Strong management and interpersonal skills, as well as verbal and written communication skills. Proven success sin developing relationships, collaborating and building consensus across diverse internal and external constituencies. Ability to work proactively, think creatively, and leverage strong analytical skills to develop and summarize the best strategies. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, on time and on budget, including working under pressure and in challenging situations. Acquaintance with and/or potential for understanding and embracing the mission of Catholic and Jesuit higher education.Â
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree or an advanced degree in marketing, communications, public relations, journalism, advertising, or a related field; supplemented with at least eight (8) years of successful marketing and communications experience, with higher education experience and advertising agency experience a plus.
