Position Overview:
The Digital Media Associate will serve as a lead on digital marketing and communications for Bravo! Vail Music Festival. Also serving as a cross-functional team player assisting the marketing and artistic departments, they plan and execute projects in support of the Festival.
This position creates and distributes content for a wide range of marketing channels that supports larger departmental campaign goals and objectives. This person will work closely with and report to the Director of Marketing.
Essential Functions
Develop social media creatives: Coordinate all social media creative development and distribution. Represent brand voice and personality across all social channels. Engage with followers. Assist marketing team in exploring and implementing new social content opportunities. Assess analytics to encourage informed decisions. Assist in strategy behind paid and organic social media plans. (year-round)
Leverage industry knowledge to ensure content is accurate. Liaise with artistic and education departments to collect content assets. Assist in strategy and development of engaging artistic and education content used to support marketing initiatives. Be the bridge between the artistic, education, and marketing departments, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery of content. (year-round)
Work with artistic team to ensure content is accurate and up to brand standards. Identify and develop engaging artistic content through artist collaborations. (off-season and during Festival subject to bandwidth)
Email content: Assist in the strategy, develop the content, and collaborate with Institutional Advancement Coordinator to align assets. Participate in the review process.
Write content for social, website, collateral, and emails. Ability to write short form pieces of content is a must.
Website and In-App Content. Manage content on the Bravo! Vail website and in collaboration with Director of Marketing and Institutional Advancement Coordinator, primarily building content for our season launch. Coordinate content updates with all departments.
Analyze marketing data: Assist in the assessment of marketing and conversion metrics to identify areas of opportunity to refine strategy; including Google analytics, Data Studio dashboards, social media analytics, email analytics, and customer data.
Website content. Manage website updates. Manage content on the Bravo! Vail website, including building out the season for our annual launch and updating content throughout the year. Collaborate with director of technology and web developers (contracts, projects, improvements, etc.). Manage website SEO strategy in collaboration with digital partner. Coordinate content updates with all departments.
Email creation and analysis. Develop and distribute emails, coordinate cross-departmental email schedules, manage email training, and track and analyze email KPIs.
Develop paid media creatives. Coordinate all paid media creative development; assist in strategy behind paid media plans.
Analyze digital promotion data. Analyze a variety of metrics to identify areas of opportunity to refine strategy and messaging for fundraising and marketing campaigns, including Google analytics, social media analytics, email analytics, and customer data.
Promotion of Education & Engagement Programs. Manage the production of promotional materials – printed and digital – for Education & Engagement department. Collaborate with Director of Education & Engagement and Director of Marketing on Education & Engagement marketing strategy.
Skills and Experience
A passion for the arts and for our mission to enrich people’s lives through the power of music
Two or more years of experience in nonprofit or corporate marketing and communication; experience with non-profit arts marketing or event marketing preferred
Basic knowledge of or appreciation of Classical music
Strong combination of analytical and creative skills
Strong copywriting and copy-editing skills preferred
High level of proficiency with social media marketing and management tools
Technologically savvy with ability to learn new systems quickly (Customer database system: Tessitura; website CMS system: S; Email system: Wordfly; artistic management system: ArtsVision)
At least one-year hands-on experience with Adobe Suite, Canva, or equivalent graphic design tools; proficiency in creating effective graphics for marketing purposes using design tools
Experience with Google Analytics or similar web analytics tools preferred
Ability to multi-task and prioritize when managing multiple projects
A strong appreciation of the importance of completing tasks on deadline
A positive attitude
100% commitment during festival dates (typically June through August), including working evenings and weekends
Flexibility and openness to take on new projects in a fluid department
A team player mentality and collaborative work style are musts
Compensation:
Salary $50,000 - $60,000
