The Assistant Director of Marketing and Fan Engagement will serve under the direction of the Senior Director of Marketing & Fan Engagement and be responsible for creating marketing and promotions plans, game presentations, and day-to-day operational tasks of the marketing office. The position will work with other unites in the athletic department (e.g., athletic communications, ticket sales, creative services, event management and operations, facilities, etc.) to ensure all logistics for events are properly managed.
Work Conditions & Physical Requirements
The position must be able to perform work duties during flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays. The selected individual must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time; constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer, and other office equipment. The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office and or/venue to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. The person in this position frequently communicates with coaches and staff who have inquiries about their given sport. Must be able to exchange accurate information with these coaches and staff. This position frequently moves communications and office equipment weighing up to 50 pounds across campus for various events.
Travel
5-10 - Travel will be based on the nature of the team’s schedule (e.g., championship tournament, service academy games, etc.) and on the need for assistance for home events.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in communications, sports management, business, marketing, or related field
Experience with using Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office programs.
Experience with using Click Effects Pro Audio or Sound Director
Preferred Qualifications
Minimum of one to two years of sports marketing or relevant experience at the collegiate or professional level strongly preferred.
