POSITION DETAILS
The City University of New York (CUNY) is the nation???s largest urban public university and serves 275,000 degree- seeking students and 200,000 non-degree students across 25 campuses. Founded in 2007, Accelerated Study in Associate Programs (ASAP) is a comprehensive associate degree completion program serving 25,000 students annually at nine CUNY colleges. Accelerate, Complete, Engage (ACE), an adaptation of ASAP that supports baccalaureate students, is currently available at five CUNY colleges and undergoing further expansion. CUNY ASAP|ACE provides comprehensive and personalized support and resources to students that help remove barriers to full-time study, support academic momentum, and build a connected community. To reach enrollment targets by using more than traditional advertising and marketing for student outreach and recruitment, CUNY ASAP|ACE is seeking a Digital and Social Media Engagement Specialist to expand and strengthen the social and digital media awareness, profile, and presence of the programs to critical audiences across various digital platforms and coordinate the design and implementation of social media and digital marketing strategies. Reporting to the ASAP Director for External Relations and Engagement, the Digital and Social Media Engagement Specialist will design a cohesive and comprehensive digital marketing approach that supports the development and execution of outreach and recruitment, retention, program expansion, national replication, and external stakeholder strategies engagement. They will advance digital engagement processes for prospective and continuing students while maintaining consistent CUNY ASAP|ACE brand identity by creating responsive and ADA-accessible website designs and continuous updates, search engine optimization, usage of web analytics, mobile engagement, strategic social media planning, and use of CMS and CRM systems.
In addition to the job summary above and CUNY Title Overview below, other key duties include, but will not be limited to the following:
Writes, edits, produces, and manages newsletters (e.g., prospective students, college access counselor, alumni), website, and social media-related content on CUNY ASAP | ACE social media accounts including, but not limited to, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, and any new or future social media networks.
Manages the onboarding and maintenance of digital engagement platforms, including but not limited to HootSuite, Constant Contact, SignalVine, and other emerging technologies.
Develops and maintains a robust content calendar in coordination with and in support of the CUNY ASAP|ACE central office and partner colleges and programs to integrate program and university-wide branding, initiatives, campaigns, and messaging.
Maintains and presents weekly, monthly, and yearly analytics reports and key takeaways to the ASAP|ACE central office and uses data and insights to develop testing plans and manage strategies and improvements that demonstrate measurable and beneficial results.
Monitors social media conversations and audience sentiment; crafts and broadcasts all responses to comments and queries across platforms.
Maintains the CUNY ASAP|ACE central office website and manages updates and relationships with the university web services unit; works with various internal and external stakeholders on campaigns and initiatives.
Maintains relationships with vendors and stays abreast of all product updates, invoicing, and related fiscal year planning needs.
Stays abreast of current trends, developments, and social and digital media tools, and updates the central office and program teams accordingly.
Refines, shares and enforces social media, CRS/CRM, and website guidelines.
Implements best practices, conducts onboarding and training sessions, and serves as a resource for digital and social media points of contact across partner colleges and programs.

NOTES: 1) Until further notice, this is a hybrid position, eligible to work remotely and on-site in the office. 2)Candidates will be required to provide proof of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 upon commencing employment. QUALIFICATIONS
MINIMUM
Bachelor???s degree and four years??? related experience required.
PREFERRED
Four years' related full-time equivalent experience in digital marketing performing content development, strategy, and managing social media and websites. Must provide work samples of executed digital campaigns on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram,LinkedIn, or TikTok.
Direct experience using social media and digital tools, HTML, listserv email, WordPress, content management systems, and advanced social media publishing tools (Hoot Suite, Constant Contact, Signal Vine), and pulling native metrics.
Experience creating high-quality and high-impact copy and visuals for maximum engagement, and understanding and adapting to a changing social media landscape, including learning new platforms.
Knowledge of AP Style with strong writing skills to write straightforward and engaging content that is platform and audience-appropriate.
Visual and video design and editing skills with knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and AcrobatFinal Cut Pro.
Proactive and customer-service oriented with strong interpersonal and cross-cultural communication and relationship-building skills to appreciate the value of others and work effectively and collaboratively with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
Detailed and dependable with effective organizational, time management,follow-through, and priority setting skills to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
Computer proficiency using administrative systems and databases, Microsoft Office 365 programs and remote/virtual meeting/conferencing and collaboration tools (MS Teams, Zoom, WebEx, Skype).

Provides expertise in digital and visual communications to support and advance the College's multimedia presence.
Researches and identifies new multimedia platforms that advance College programs and initiatives
Works closely with management to understand and produce effective message elements
Creates and aligns various communication work products such as video, digital formats, layouts, graphics, web pages, and microsites to ensure consistency and effective messaging
Assesses, enhances and manages the user experience on digital platforms including social media
Collaborates with graphic designers, webmasters, and other information technology professionals to create comprehensive broadcast and multimedia communications
Procures required internal and external resources and services and manages their utilization
Performs related duties as assigned.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Salary range is $51,242 - $73,985; commensurate with qualifications, education and experience.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Health Plan Coverage for Employees Hired on or after October 1, 2022
City of New York employees and employees of Participating Employers and their eligible dependents hired on or after October 1, 2022 will only be eligible to enroll in the Emblem Health HIP HMO Preferred Plan and must remain in the HIP HMO Preferred Plan for the first year (365 days) of employment.
After 365 days of employment, the employee will have the option of either remaining in the HIP HMO Preferred Plan or selecting a different health plan within 30 days before the end of the 365th day period. If a new health plan is selected, the new plan will be effective on the 366th day. Only after the 365th day can the employee participate in any Annual Fall Transfer Period.
An employee who needs to request an exemption from the required enrollment in the HIP HMO Preferred Plan can do so by submiting a HIP HMO Opt-Out Request Form to Emblem Health. An employee, or eligible dependent, must meet certain criteria and the request must be approved by Emblem Health before the exemption is granted.
