Bachelor's degree required with a minimum of 5 years' experience of website planning and management, preferably in higher education.
Two years of managing a CMS-based architecture using WordPress or Drupal, including templating and custom modifications.
This position requires high-level knowledge of front-end website development concepts, current and emerging technologies and programming.
The individual in this position must be creative and possess critical thinking, analytical, and organizational and project management skills in a fast-paced, customer and deadline- driven environment.
Ability to problem-solve and troubleshoot.
Excellent written and verbal communication, including strong editing, grammar, and proofreading skills, and ability to effectively present reports and solutions to colleagues.
Experience with Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Search Engine Marketing (SEM) and website analytics. Google Analytics knowledge preferred.
Content and communications experience a plus. Graphic design, photography, and videography skills, as well as proficiency in design software applications preferred. -Working knowledge of Photoshop and other Adobe Creative Suite programs required.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES
30% Strategic Website and Intranet Design and Development
Lead a cross functional team in the design and development of a refresh of the CPS website, this will include internal stakeholders and external vendors. This will be complete cycle from discovery, business requirements development, design, content, and development of the site in conjunction with 3rd party vendor(s). Additionally, the position will lead the strategy and implementation of the CPS Intranet within the greater Northeastern system. This includes developing process and procedures for groups within CPS to create their own intranet subsites
25% Content Maintenance and Management
Perform regular and timely updates and maintenance across the CPS site(s) and a variety of systems. Manage digital asset collection, optimize, manage and in some instances create web pages and content. Ensure accuracy and consistency across relevant digital properties. Maintain visual and editorial brand standards across sites. Copyedit and proofread all web content. Identify and recommend new website content based on strategic needs of CPS. Utilize document and image editing tools to help collect, organize, and edit web content, images, and other assets. Utilize WordPress tools to post, update, and maintain content and images.
25% Website and Information Management
Establish and maintain processes for regular review, updating and approval of website content. Manage web projects across departments. Train stakeholders to use the content management system and act as a resource. Create and maintain documentation for existing digital marketing processes on CPS digital properties.
10% Maintain Website Functionality
Troubleshoot issues related to website data integrity or functionality. Collaborate on the tracking of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) health and analytics and reporting of website performance. Manage testing calendar, document test plans and website test results. Collaborate on building and setup of tests for the website on as needed basis.
10% Other responsibilities
Keep current with emerging web technologies and web content issues. Process and pay for ongoing website maintenance projects with outside firms, as needed. Work closely with key stakeholders.
