We are looking for an experienced and talented research expert. In this role, you will have the opportunity to build out and deliver the research roadmap for a leading UK business. This role reports into the GMM - Strategy & Insights but you will also be required to work across a number of functions spanning marketing and the broader business in order to satisfy a range of business challenges through qual and quant research methods.
The ideal candidate has prior experience working across a number of different research platforms and areas: market opportunity identification, market sizing, uncovering unmet customer needs, developing positioning, value prop validation, defining customer segmentation & targeting, brand funnel metrics, creative proposition testing etc.
What you will bring:
7+ years of marketing experience, including 5 years of specific research roles, (ideally with some tech industry experience but this is not absolutely essential)
Specific research experience within the B2C space
Significant experience and evidence of turning research outcomes into actionable insights to drive business strategy and positive (measured) outcomes
Experience in analytics and the ability to partner with the analytics team to shape and strengthen the research plan and findings
Experience in building out customer segmentation and personas
Experience in a mix of long and short term research methods - there will be at times a requirement to turn research around in short spaces of time (e.g. a few days), so experience of doing this will be critical. Experience with a diverse range of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies such as 1:1 interviews, focus groups, surveys, conjoint, segmentation, max diff, etc.
Experience in brand metric and perception modeling and examples of creating actionable insights using data points.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with clear examples of using data for customer insights, measurement, ROI analysis and recommendations.
