DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES: COMMUNICATIONS
Communications

• Craft Weekly newsletter to families, board, alumni and community

• Publish Magazine - 1-2 times per year; coordinate multiple contributors.

• Maintain contact lists on all platforms

• Emergency notifications as needed

• Marquee- Update weekly at minimum, daily if necessary with upcoming events

• Internal newsletter to employees

• Manage school calendars on websites and parent portals

  Website Management

• Responsible for all content updates as needed

• Work with marketing consultants to update/migrate website host platform

• Maintains and updates Parent Portal and related forms

• Seek out remarkable content; use SEO best practices.

  Work closely with Admissions, Advancement, Division Directors and Athletic Director to

• Plan, schedule and market events on appropriate platforms

• Plan, schedule and market summer and afterschool programs

• Moderate yearly academic calendar creation and publish to websites

• Make sure web pages are current, with linked information always updated

• Provide reports for online registrations, payments and online giving as needed

  MARKETING

• Make sure all communications and marketing materials, digital or printed/published, are consistent with brand guidelines

• Approve any materials created by other departments for publication

• Create marketing collateral, digital design, video for publication as needed

• Gather and curate content - take pictures/video, ask for copy from submitters,

  attend and stay abreast of school activities, competitions, and other events

• Research and use best practices for online content and engagement

  Social Media

• Run or monitor all social media accounts related to Briarwood and Tuttle

• Ensure content is on brand, appropriate and timely

• Track analytics for marketing purposes

Qualifications:

• A self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team on

several projects concurrently

• Strong writing and oral communication skills

• Proficiency in Google Suite, Adobe Creative Suite or similar graphic design

  software; experience with Finalsite, Blackbaud and Raiser’s Edge, FACTS, ACS or other database management software preferred

  Education and Experience

• Degree in marketing or communications, with a minimum of 3 - 5 years of

  marketing or communications/ related experience preferred

• Experience with web editing, Google ads and analytics, and SEO

• Photography and videography experience preferred but not required

• Maintain physical ability to complete all essential functions and activities of the

  position.

• Occasional evening and weekend work required
