Lecturer in Marketing and Business Analytics 2023-2024
The Graduate School of Management at the University of California, Davis, seeks part time instructors to teach one or more courses in the area of Marketing and Business Analytics for the 2023-2024 academic year. These courses are part of the curriculum for the MBA program.
Applicants should have a Master, PhD or advanced coursework in statistics or business analytics and be familiar with standard business and corporate strategy frameworks. Experience teaching with the case method is preferred. Salary is prorated based on appointment percentage.
Course lists: 403A: Data Analysis for Managers
Introduces statistics and data analysis for managerial decision-making. Descriptive statistics, principles of data collection, sampling, quality control, statistical inference. Application of data-analytic methods to problems in marketing, finance, accounting, production, operations and public policy.
203B: Forecasting & Managerial Research Methods Practical statistical methods for managerial decision making covers regression analysis, time series analysis and forecasting, design and analysis of experiments in managerial research, and contingency table analysis. Application of these methods to marketing, finance, accounting, production, operations, and public policy.
249: Marketing Research Course addresses the managerial issues and problems of systematically gathering and analyzing information for making private and public marketing decisions. Covers the cost and value of information, research design, information collection, measuring instruments, data analysis, and marketing research applications.
234: Pricing Combines lectures, cases and homework to teach students tools and skills necessary to analyze pricing situations, make pricing decisions, and implement them, in a systematic manner.

Unit 18 Lecturers are governed under a collective bargaining agreement (American Federation of Teachers (AFT) - Non-Senate Instructional Unit). Under this contract, once a lecturer accumulates enough quarters of service, the lecturer can be reviewed for a Continuing Lecturer position.
