The Manager, Digital Marketing - Email & Slate CRM works within the Digital Marketing team, reporting to the Sr. Manager, Digital Marketing - Email & Engagement with a dotted line to the Director of Quality Assurance.
This position will be primarily tasked with building and troubleshooting Slate Deliver communications and reporting across the full spectrum of graduate and professional certificate programs, but will also include:
Tracking and project managing outgoing communications
Build accurate and efficient Slate recipient list queries for communications sent to prospective students and applicants
Working with Slate CRM team to stay aligned
Helping establish a formal quality assurance (QA) process for Slate emails
Ensuring QA processes are followed
Seeking opportunities to streamline and enhance communication flows across the funnel
This position will eventually join a larger team being built under the Sr. Manager, Digital Marketing - Email & Engagement, which will manage the full-funnel communications experience within Slate across the entire lifecycle of the graduate marketing and admissions process.
This position will work very closely with the EM Slate team leadership to learn the intricacies of the implementation and the system as a whole. This position will also closely collaborate with the Director of Quality Assurance to ensure proper safeguards and processes are in place across all mailings.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
The ideal candidate has 3-5 years minimum experience managing Slate CRM communication streams, extremely strong skills for complicated query building, and understanding of various aspects of full-funnel email marketing activity:
Strong attention to detail
Understanding of quality assurance processes
Strong understanding and experience of query building and implementation process in Slate CRM is required
Strong background in email building within Slate, as well as experience with conditional language for content, Liquid markup, populations, and Slate content blocks is required
Ability to manage multiple projects and timelines is required
A marketing-oriented mindset is required
The ability to translate technical knowledge and solutions for non-technical audiences required
Ability to work across teams within Enrollment Management and the University
Enrollment Management and graduate/professional program experience is strongly preferred.
Experience with a matrix reporting organization is desired
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Query building, email building (as needed), and tracking outbound communication flows and schedules across the full funnel. Interfacing with College Success team (account leads) to ensure inbound communication requests from the colleges have all required information, content, and context to successfully build and deploy.
Interfacing with quality assurance leadership to ensure processes across the funnel are being properly followed and enforced across the entire communication stream.
Working with the Slate CRM team and leadership to ensure proper mastery of our Slate instance, understanding new and evolving efforts on the platform, and keeping that team aware of any issues or bugs which arise.
