DIGITAL COMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST, Center for International Studies (CIS), to create content and implement multimedia and digital efforts to support and promote activities and programs with internal/external constituents. Will design and produce a variety of print and web-based materials; create design templates and train staff on their use; develop and maintain websites and social media channels; train staff on website content management; troubleshoot technical issues; draft and edit content for social media and other media; serve as event photographer/videographer; edit, disseminate, and archive photos/videos; coordinate the production of photos/videos for promotional purposes; maintain YouTube channel and photostreams; execute digital marketing campaigns; develop visual assets and create a digital assets library; track and report on digital marketing performance; and perform other duties as requested.
Job Requirements
REQUIRED: bachelor's degree; two years' communications, marketing, writing, design, or related experience; ability to manage websites using a CMS (Drupal or WordPress); video production and management experience; skill editing videos using Adobe Premiere; excellent design skills using Adobe InDesign and Illustrator and editing photos in Photoshop; proficiency with MS Office; willingness to learn new programs/software as needed; excellent interpersonal, organizational, customer service, writing, editing, and copyediting skills; meticulous attention to detail and accuracy; understanding of strategic approaches/tactics to reach target audiences; ability to prioritize multiple and varied tasks, follow through on work, meet deadlines, work independently and collaboratively as part of a team, and interact with a diverse group of faculty/students/staff; and discretion with confidential information. Must be tech-savvy with proven success producing digital communications products, e.g., podcasts, animated shorts, graphic design, and social media campaigns.
