The Graphic Designer works with the Student Affairs Marketing team to design and produce marketing materials in accordance with University branding standards for a variety of print and digital media. This person will:
Oversee the production and execution of highly creative solutions for print and digital marketing.
Manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment; track progress on team project management platform.
Organize working and final files according to shared drive protocols.
Work collaboratively with departmental staff to develop and refine marketing content.
Provide outstanding customer service to internal clients and external vendors.
Ensure all materials comply with University branding standards and copyright laws.
Participate in division and campus wide committees to support marketing, communication, design and University initiatives.
Train and supervise student employees as needed.
Minimum Experience / Education:
Required Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalency and two years of visual/graphic arts experience related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
University Preferred Qualifications:
Four-year degree in Visual Arts or high school and four years of visual/graphic arts experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed in the area of assignment; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Preferred Education Skills and Experience:
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud, specifically Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
Digital Portfolio required.
Commitment to customer service, diversity and inclusion, and teamwork.
Understanding of social media, photography, and multimedia techniques.
Experience in higher education is encouraged, but not required.
Working with students is a plus.
Four-year degree in design, marketing, or visual communication or equivalent work experience; work demonstrated by a digital portfolio. Photography experience is encouraged, but not required.
