Position Information The Marketing & Communications Coordinator designs, coordinates, and implements a comprehensive strategic communication campaign focused on increasing enrollment at UC Riverside, with a focus on Summer Sessions. The campaign will be a long-term communication effort designed to be implemented over the entire academic year. As a starting point, the incumbent will initially focus on developing a full-year educational campaign informing freshmen and sophomores of the value of summer participation. As the incumbent becomes more informed with UCR's student body and summer quarter during the first summer, a broader strategic marketing plan (SMP) is expected to be developed and implemented. As the summer quarter is intimately integrated within the campus' entire undergraduate education process, the incumbent will also provide the Enrollment Services division with marketing and communication support, as well as work with the unit to fold Summer Sessions and Enrollment Services messaging into overall broader campus communication efforts.

The budgeted salary range for this position is up to $82,350.00

Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of location protocols and channels for communication internally and externally. Solid written, verbal, interpersonal communications, active listening and political acumen skills. Knowledge and understanding of technical applications to effectively direct technical staff, or personally perform technical work, including design concepts, various media, and applications. Solid skills to create, develop, and implement comprehensive long and short term strategic communications plans. Knowledge and skills to advise and consult with management to ensure delivery of the desired message to the target and/or broad general audiences. Knowledge of all aspects of communications, including strategic planning for various media venues, technical aspects and requirements of various venues, and most appropriate and effective applications.
Additional Information Knowledge of the organization, its achievements, mission, vision, goals, policies, practices, infrastructure, and a strong knowledge of current affairs, and issues in higher education and/or health sciences.
Knowledge of Strategic Enrollment Management marketing trends, best practices, and ability to operationlize these to connect with UCR students.
Working knowledge with use of a Customer Relationship Management tool.
Working knowledge with use of a Content Management System to edit website content.
