Job Summary
Department-Specific Responsibilities
Uses artistic and creative skills to capture various people, places, and events, in various settings
Produces videos, including b-roll
Processes photos as needed to achieve optimal image quality or desired configuration for various uses such as printed brochure, displays, video deliveries, social media, and other
Works promptly on assigned work
Meets tight deadlines
Attends team and project meetings
Focuses on the art of creating videos using artificial and/or natural lighting
Qualifications
Combinations of related education and experience may be considered. Education beyond the minimum required may be substituted for work experience. Work experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted for education.
EDUCATION
Required
Currently enrolled as a student at Indiana University
2 years of college in video production, photography, digital cinematography or related field
WORK EXPERIENCE
Preferred
2 years of practical training in videography with an apprenticeship program, vocational school, or studio training program
2 years of experience in digital photography with 1 year experience using Adobe Creative Cloud applications (Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator)
SKILLS
Required
Familiar with the basics of video production audio, lighting, video editing and post production
Ability to create motion graphics
Ability to color correct and match footage from various cameras
Technical ability to work with a wide range of videography equipment and technology
Video editing skills with current software products such as Adobe Premiere, Apple iMovie, or Nero Video 2017, etc.
Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as a team member
Ability to build and maintain rapport with faculty, staff, student, parents, representatives, and community

All videos/footage taken are owned by OVPDEI.

$15.34 per hour
Work Hours
The employee must maintain a maximum of 29 hours per week across all positions of employment held with Indiana University.
