The Office of Communications and Marketing at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, seeks applications and nominations for the position of Director, Research Marketing & Communications. The Director is accountable developing and implementing research-specific marketing and communications plans and leads a team of specialized marketing and communications professionals dedicated to research. The Director serves as an integral member of both the Office of Communications and Marketing (OCM) and the Office of Research, Innovation, and Economic Development (ORIED) leadership teams, and collaborates with colleagues in OCM, ORIED, and in the university's colleges, research centers, and institutes.

The division comprises several cross-functional teams, employing more than 50 full-time professionals with expertise in design, development, video production, content strategy, feature writing, editing, marketing, media relations, internal communication, and special events.
