Carnegie Mellon University's Tepper School of Business is searching for a Marketing Manager. This is a dynamic opportunity for someone who thrives in an interesting and challenging work environment. Reporting to the Associate Marketing Director, you will contribute to the department by providing essential support for marketing plan development and implementation, ongoing evaluation and communications activities. This role should ensure we are being consistent in our branding while supporting the school's efforts to continuously increase program awareness and enrollment. This person should have excellent collaborative communications skills.
Core responsibilities will include:
Marketing/Advertising Development and Implementation
Working with the internal marketing team, the marketing manager will write and submit creative and media briefs for advertising development. The marketing manager will help obtain approvals and support production/implementation of traditional and online media in partnership with various agencies, producers and program directors. Programs that may need support include Tepper masters programs, undergraduate programs, and Executive Education. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Ensure CMU and Tepper brand guidelines are followed
Identify and communicate monthly marketing plan results on a regular basis
Help compile content from admissions, program directors, photographers, alumni and students for revenue-generating programs to implement effective marketing essential marketing components such as viewbooks, print materials, podcasts, reporting and other communication.
Work closely with internal design team and external agencies
Assist with writing, editing and proofreading
Monitor, organize and update marketing (traditional and digital) assets
Annual projects may include Viewbooks/Brochures, Foldouts, and Postcards
The marketing manager should be proficient evaluating digital sites and leveraging applications including Google Analytics, Email systems (Salesforce, MyEmma, Qualtrics) and be able to pull reports with key takeaways. Additionally, be able to
Work with program directors to communicate website updates and edits to marcom web team.
Provide consultation regarding digital engagement based on measurement/results.
Social media support
The marketing manager will provide instrumental support to the marcom department. He/she/they will:
Assist the marketing team and the director of operations to obtain estimates, track billing, and update budgets (with manager oversight)
Communicate project requirements, timelines and deliverables with freelancers
Create and communicate timelines to internal "clients."

Bachelor's degree required
3-5 years of communications or marketing experience required
Experience in campaign development and implementation, media management and evaluation of digital media effectiveness is strongly preferred
Higher education experience is preferred
