GENERAL SUMMARY:??
The Donor Relations team within the Division of Philanthropy builds lifelong relationships with donors by recognizing their contributions, sharing progress updates, and demonstrating the impact their giving has on our shared goal to reduce the burden of cancer. Donor Relations, along with Philanthropy Communications and Digital Marketing, comprise the Philanthropy Marketing team.
The Senior Assistant, Donor Relations supports the Donor Relations team and innovative programs consisting of stewardship, recognition, and events. The position also manages meetings, calendar, correspondence, and key projects for the Assistant Vice President, Donor Relations, and Vice President, Philanthropy Marketing. Responsible for assisting the entire Division in reaching financial goals.

Coordinate meetings, including scheduling, drafting agendas, and documenting notes and next steps.
Support critical functions for monitoring, tracking, and documenting budgets, expense reports, procurement card monthly statements, and purchase orders.
Serve as a ???super user??? of the Division???s fundraising databases (ClearView, EMS), reporting systems, and time tracking system (Quickbase).
Actively participate in the onboarding process for incoming staff across Donor Relations, Philanthropy Marketing, and the Division, including conducting onboarding trainings and updating and maintaining documents.
Assist with the coordination of donor events as needed.
Facilitate communications and project management across Philanthropy Communications, Digital Marketing, and Donor Relations.
Fulfill all responsibilities needed for The Dana-Farber Campaign.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reports to the Assistant Vice President, Donor Relations. This position will seek major decision-making authority from direct supervisor. However, independent decision-making on day-to-day tasks and good judgment is required for dealing with Institute donors, trustees, executive leadership, and confidential information. This individual will be a resource for staff across the Division and Philanthropy Marketing teams.
Associate degree and/or administrative training degree required. As this level position is often considered a ???base??? for someone pursuing a career in Philanthropy, a Bachelor???s degree is preferred. 1-3 years of administrative experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
A high degree of confidentiality must always be exercised. Exceptional administrative skills are necessary. Excellent written and verbal communications skills are critical. Must be detail-oriented with organizational and self-managerial skills, along with the ability to be flexible and to execute a multitude of projects. A strong understanding and commitment to problem-solving, collaboration, marketing, and donor relations is also needed. A directed and self-starting attitude is preferred. Solid computer skills and competency in Microsoft Office Suite products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, One Drive, etc.).
This position will evaluate current programs and create and execute approved plans to expand and diversify the donors and participants for the events assigned in order to broaden our donor base and create even more inclusive events. Experience with diverse donors is a plus.
