POSITION SUMMARY:
The Web Design and Social Media Manager is responsible for the development and strategic management of the School of Nursing website, Intranet sites, and social media marketing and communication initiatives.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develops, implements, and maintains content for the School of Nursing website and social media channels including development, accessibility, content updates, page design and graphics, and user experience for the School of Nursing website and Intranet site.
Takes initiative to propose digital assets to support content strategy.
Reviews all creative assets and content submitted for the website to ensure consistent quality and SEO optimization.
Responsible for editing video and taking photography at events to be used on website, in social media and email marketing campaigns.
Collaborates with the Office of Marketing and Communications (OMC), the Director of Marketing, and Pearson to refine and oversee the school’s brand voice online and establish consistent brand presence and adherence to compliance requirements across web platforms.
Executes an editorial calendar for feature articles, social media posts, and planned web content.
Creates a yearly social media plan to share with university social media collaborators.
Establishes measurable goals for website and social media accounts, implements tools for measuring effectiveness, and analyzes results to make data-driven content decisions.
Reviews analytics regularly to determine how users are interacting with the content and uses data to make informed decisions.
Improves user experience and maintains effective information architecture, including overseeing and executing testing strategies to ensure continuous traffic improvements.
Collaborates with the Director of Recruitment and personnel in the Office of Recruitment and Enrollment Management in efforts related to undergraduate and graduate recruitment, such as website content, events, and social media initiatives.
Collaborates with the Assistant Dean for Recruitment and Enrollment Management, Director of Marketing and OMC with the strategic creation and execution of social media and digital marketing campaigns.
Monitors effective benchmarks and best practices for measuring impact of campaigns; analyzes results and subsequent strategies.
Works closely with Boundless Learning, OMC, Enrollment Management Group, and Computing and Technology Services to troubleshoot issues, implement new technology as appropriate, and develop informed content strategy.
Communicates with faculty, students, and administrators, technical and external constituencies to align web needs with the overall web communications strategy.
Assists with basic graphic design projects such as creating fillable PDFs, creating internal invitations, presentations and various requests from the Dean’s Office and School of Nursing faculty and staff.
Writes and edits publications and internal/external communications as needed.
Develops and maintains the School’s Display Monitors; assists with events and presentations.
Completes other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in marketing, communication, technology, or other related field.
5+ years of progressive experience in content, web, or marketing role.
Demonstrated experience in: content marketing and website development, editorial writing, analytics/reporting, and marketing communications plans.
Strong project management skills and the ability to set priorities and manage competing demands.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Working knowledge of Google Analytics.
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
Able to function within a complex and highly collaborative administrative structure.
Preferred qualifications:
Experience working in higher education
Basic video skills
Experience using Modern Campus Omni CMS, Power Point, and Photoshop
