The AACSB-accredited Madden College of Business and Economics at Le Moyne College invites applications to join our warm, welcoming community of scholars for a tenure-track Assistant Professor Information Systems faculty role beginning in the Fall of 2024.
Le Moyne College, located in Syracuse, New York, is a vibrant and progressive independent college established by the Jesuits in 1946 to provide students with a values-based, comprehensive academic program designed to foster intellectual excellence and prepare individuals for a life of leadership and service.
We seek candidates with strong interest in teaching within a liberal arts setting who are able to teach a variety of information systems classes. The successful candidates will primarily teach courses in information systems including artificial intelligence (deep learning, machine learning) and digital transformation. Additional teaching opportunities include business intelligence, enterprise systems, financial technology, and data visualization. Successful candidates will be expected to teach a 3-3 load, engage in scholarly research leading to publication in peer-reviewed journals as well as maintain scholarly academic standards established by the college, and conduct a reasonable amount of service to the Madden College, Le Moyne College, and community as a whole.
Information Systems is a vibrant major in the Madden College of Business and Economics; many of these students double major with other programs in the college such as Finance, Business Analytics, Marketing or Human Resources. We have a growing Masters in Information Systems (MSIS) program with concentrations in artificial intelligence, business intelligence, digital marketing and risk management. The McDevitt Information Systems Research Fellows engage in scholarly multidisciplinary information systems research with a variety of research sponsors, publishing their work in premier journals and industry publications. We have an outstanding industry - government - academic Advisory Board, and close connections with the regional, national and international research and business community, both of which offer opportunities for faculty research and opportunities for students to network, gain experience, and explore career paths with industry mentors.

Requirements:
An earned doctorate in Information Systems, Information Science, Business Analytics, Data Science, Business Intelligence, Artificial Intelligence or a closely related field, from an AACSB-accredited institution or similarly recognized international program by position start date.
Evidence of effective teaching at the undergraduate and graduate level.
Evidence of an active research agenda.
