The primary responsibility of the marketing manager is to create, implement, and measure effectiveness of marketing strategies and programs for the nationally ranked University of Michigan Health C.S. Mott Children's Hospital.
The marketing manager leads a robust, integrated strategic marketing program to elevate brand preference for C.S. Mott Children's Hospital and the pediatric service line at University of Michigan Health.
Implement marketing strategies and tactics for C.S. Mott Children's Hospital and the pediatric service line for University of Michigan Health and our statewide clinical network.
Work effectively in coordinating multiple complex projects in a fast-paced, service-oriented and cross-functional team-based environment. Projects can range from web content development, email campaign development, brochure creation and production, photo shoot planning and coordination, etc.
Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Communicate effectively with clients and vendors to align shared expectations and optimize productivity.
Develop accessible and engaging written content, applying sophisticated writing skills across multiple platforms that include web, social media, print collateral, email newsletters, for example.
Maintain a level of proficiency relative to search engine marketing (SEM) and search engine optimization (SEO) techniques and best practices.
Assess marketing strategies of key peers in the field of health care and children's hospitals.
Work in partnership with colleagues in public relations, social media, digital engagement/web development, creative services, community outreach and fundraising to ensure unified positioning and efficient, effective communications.
Analyze and evaluate performance of marketing and brand preference strategies, and recommend changes to optimize performance of campaigns and strategies.
Support routine reporting of KPIs to children's communication team and hospital leadership.
Maintain thorough knowledge of integrated brand marketing best practices, particularly in the field of health care.
Demonstrate ongoing commitment to innovation and continuous improvement.
Bachelor's degree
8+ years experience in marketing or communications
Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, advertising or related field.
Agency and/or health care marketing experience.
Demonstrated experience integrating a commitment to diversity, equity inclusion in all aspects of work, both internally and in externally facing messaging.
