The Research and Insights Lead oversees marketing analytics reporting in support of the university's ongoing marketing and brand-building efforts. The Research and Insights Lead is responsible for measuring brand health and campaign performance and is equipped with strong technical expertise and a solid marketing foundation. This position collaborates closely with cross-functional team partners to synthesize complex data sets and deliver findings and insights to key stakeholders, with a solid ability to leverage data to tell a compelling story
Position Specific Responsibilities/Accountabilities
Technical Leadership and Expertise
- Builds a data-driven culture by capturing and analyzing marketing and business data, tracking progress towards goals, and providing evidence-based recommendations to the university's marketing teams.
- Creates and sustains dynamic dashboards and visualizations to measure overall brand health and discrete campaigns, such as enrollment, to distribute quarterly to key stakeholders including university leadership and board members.
- Blends data from a variety of data sources, such as CRMs, social media channels, email, web and traditional digital marketing channels, gleaning and reporting overall insights. Connects multiple data sources to dashboards, ranging from spreadsheet data to APIs.
- Advises on KPI measurement prior to campaign launch, ensuring back-end setup accurately captures data throughout the duration of the campaign.
- Maximizes efficiency by developing processes for data collection and archiving.
- Serves as the university's expert on marketing analytics and measurement. Stays up to date on trends and changes in the marketing landscape.
Analytics Reporting and Insight Delivery
- Distills complex data findings into easily understood and actionable insights for stakeholders.
- Works closely with university marketing leaders and colleagues to convert insights into actionable strategies to optimize campaigns in market.
- Prepares visually appealing marketing reports on a regular cadence for leadership and marketing teams, with the ability to provide data on-demand as requested.
- Collaborates closely with marketing teams to align on marketing priorities, including campaign goals and KPIs. Provides consultation on marketing strategy based on past performance.
- Establishes university and project-specific benchmarks, utilizing first party data or overall industry trends.
- Performs other related duties.

The incumbent is able to work effectively and independently with internal and external constituencies. The incumbent has the ability to operate in an environment in which skilled relationship management and consensus-building is required to deliver successful outcomes.
Requisite Qualifications
- Two years of demonstrated experience in marketing analytics.
- Strong technical expertise, including working knowledge of SQL and Python / R.
- Advanced skills and experience in Excel required, including data lookups and pivot tables.
- Experience with dashboard software (Tableau, Google Looker Studio, etc.).
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborative work style with the ability to build and maintain cross-departmental partnerships.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Knowledge of digital advertising platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Google, etc.) and associated performance metrics (clicks, conversion rate, etc.).
- Foundational marketing knowledge and ability to draw key insights from data

Reasonable Expected Salary - $70,000 - $78,000. Salary offer commensurate with education and experience.
