The Department of Marketing and Supply Chain Management, in the College of Business at East Carolina University, invites applications for a nine-month, tenure-track position in the area of Marketing at the assistant professor rank beginning August 2025. The position will have instructional responsibilities in the department teaching courses in the marketing discipline, which can include strategy, marketing communication, global marketing, digital marketing or other marketing classes, as needed. Specialties in other areas of Marketing may be considered. A standard teaching load is nine semester hours. A continuous stream of quality research is required for tenure, as is an effort at obtaining external funding. Service to the university, community, and profession is expected, as well as any additional duties assigned by the department chair.

Minimum Education/Experience:
This appointment requires a PhD in the teaching field or related discipline from an accredited business school that satisfies credentialing under SACS guidelines. The candidate must possess the qualifications necessary to be designated a professionally qualified faculty member in accordance with AACSB standards. Candidates with PhD conferred at the time of initial appointment will hold the probationary rank of Assistant Professor. ABD candidates will be considered. ABD candidates will be appointed with the probationary term rank of Assistant Professor and must have the terminal degree conferred prior to the first reappointment.
