Basic Function:
We're looking for a detail-oriented individual who will lead member outreach and engagement efforts. This position is responsible for member communications, organizational marketing, governance coordination, and administrative assistance for THT’s educational and program initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Write, review, and edit member relations, marketing, and social media communications directed toward engaging THT members and stakeholders.
Develop and implement service and education promotions, preserving the THT brand and delivering relevant member information.
Oversee and develop content for THT publications, including the THT website, monthly e-newsletter The Boardroom Brief, THT Guidebooks, Terms and Abbreviations, and the online Governance Toolkit
Serve as the primary contact for member outreach and communications.
Liaison to the THA Service Center to oversee the trustee database and manage data collection on trustees, including coding of trustees, hospital board chairs, Certified Trustee and Leader lists, and all individual trustee data.
Coordinate membership surveys and contribute to research for white papers and other publications.
Provide executive support to the THT president/CEO, including:
Preparing board and committee communications, meeting materials, minutes, and follow-ups. Coordinating member visits by conducting member data research, setting appointments, arranging travel, and completing expense reports
Assist with governance processes such as board nominations and elections.
Support planning and logistics for board meetings, regional events, and trustee workshops—both virtual and in-person
Administer key THT programs, including the Awards program, Trustee Certification Program, and Board Self-Assessment.
Qualifications:
College degree in marketing or communications preferred; high school diploma required.
Two or more years of experience in communications and administrative roles preferred.
Experience with associations, nonprofit boards, or related environments strongly preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
Strong writing and editing skills; proficient in AP style.
High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and other office software
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
Professional demeanor with the ability to interact effectively with staff, members, and the public.
