Position Summary
At Stony Brook Medicine, the Director of Campaign Strategy leads the planning, development, and execution of integrated marketing campaigns that strengthen the Stony Brook Medicine brand, drive service line growth, and support institutional priorities. This position oversees a portfolio of systemwide campaigns across paid, owned, and earned channels, ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives. The Director collaborates closely with content, creative services, web, digital, and analytics teams as well as external agencies to deliver high performing campaigns that demonstrate measurable impact. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, strong collaborator, and expert in modern marketing practices including digital, content, audience segmentation, and performance optimization.
Duties of a Director of Campaign Strategy may include the following but are not limited to:
SS Leading strategy, development and implementation of integrated multi-channel campaigns for priority service lines and institutional initiatives.
SS Translate business goals into actionable marketing strategies, campaign briefs, and performance targets.
SS Partner with senior leadership, service lines, and clinical stakeholders to identify strategic opportunities.
SS Ensure campaign messaging aligns with Stony Brook Medicine brand strategy and content priorities.
SS Collaborate with content, creative, and digital teams to ensure cohesive storytelling across all touchpoints.
SS Direct campaign asset development including paid media, landing pages, email workflows, video assets, and content packages.
SS Support CRM initiatives through journey mapping, segmentation, and performance insights.
SS Ensure all deliverables meet quality standards, accessibility requirements, and brand guidelines.
SS Use analytics dashboards and KPIs to monitor campaign effectiveness across channels.
SS Provide regular reports and insights to leadership and partners.
SS Recommend optimizations using A B testing, audience segmentation, and channel performance data.
SS Develop frameworks and measurable outcomes to demonstrate return on investment.
SS Supervise digital marketing staff and support their growth and development.
SS Serve as the primary point of contact for external agencies collaborating on campaigns.
SS Work within Monday.com and MarComm workflows to manage timelines, deliverables, approvals, and documentation.
SS Promote a collaborative culture that supports Stony Brook Medicine's mission and MarComm transformation
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, digital media, or related field.
* Seven or more years of experience in marketing, with a strong focus on strategic campaign development.
* Experience leading integrated digital campaigns across paid, owned, and earned channels.
* Strong analytical skills and experience with performance dashboards and reporting tools.
* Demonstrated leadership, communication, and project management skills.
* Experience working in complex organizations with multiple stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in marketing, business, communications or related field.
Experience in healthcare or academic medical center marketing.
Familiarity with CRM platforms and marketing automation tools.
Understanding of brand strategy, audience segmentation, and data driven optimization.

- Meet Regulatory Requirements for pre-employment screenings.
- Provide a copy of any required New York State license(s)/certificate(s).

Anticipated Pay Range:
The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position is - $122767 - $145656 / year.
The above salary range represents SBUH's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. The specific salary offer will be based on the candidate's validated years of comparable experience. Any efforts to inflate or misrepresent experience are grounds for disqualification from the application process or termination of employment if hired.

* Location pay for UUP full-time positions ($4000)
