The Savannah Country Day School is seeking a Social Media & Content Marketing Manager. This individual will play a pivotal role in enhancing Savannah Country Day’s brand visibility and fostering connections in the community through strategic marketing and social media initiatives. The position requires a creative and dynamic individual who can effectively communicate the institution's mission and values to a diverse audience, utilizing various digital platforms and marketing techniques. This twelve (12) month role reports to the Director of Communications. Occasional night and weekend hours may be required to meet deadlines and support special events. Typical duties may include but are not limited to the following: • Developing and implementing strategies to support the mission of the school and increase involvement within the SCDS community. • Executing marketing goals across various platforms to ensure cohesive and effective communication. • Coordinating internal and external marketing campaigns to promote events, programs, and initiatives. • Managing the school’s social media presence to engage current and prospective families with engaging content. • Utilize digital platforms to create compelling content including text, images, and videos that resonate with the school’s audience. • Monitor social media channels for feedback, trends, and engagement opportunities. • Develop and implement strategies to grow the institution's social media following. • Create high-quality content for the website and print publications. This includes gathering photography and video content and researching and writing brand-centered content for use on all channels, digital and print. • Collaborate with other departments to gather, write, and disseminate news and information. • Ensure all content aligns with the institution's brand and messaging guidelines. • Use data to refine strategies and achieve better engagement. • Work closely with the Director of Communications and the Director of Institutional Advancement to align communication strategies with institutional goals. • Coordinate with the Director of Communications to ensure consistent and effective messaging across all channels. • Support other departments with marketing and communication needs. Physical Demands: Work is typically performed in an office environment, with intermittent sitting, standing, and walking in various settings. Routinely lifts objects of a light to medium weight, up to 25 pounds. Full range of hand and finger motion may be utilized for data entry purposes.

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, English, Journalism, or related field. • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in marketing, communications, or a related area. Experience in an educational or non-profit setting strongly desired. • Proven experience managing social media platforms and digital marketing campaigns. • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills. • Proficiency in using marketing tools and software, including social media management platforms and analytics tools. • Adept in utilizing iPhone to generate photo and video content. • Skill in creating and editing visual content such as videos, graphics, and photographs to enhance the school's marketing materials. • Familiarity with search engine optimization (SEO) best practices and web content management systems preferred. • Excellent organizational and project management skills. • Creative thinker with an ability to work collaboratively and independently in a fast-paced environment. • Ability to effectively communicate with various stakeholders, including students, parents, faculty, and alumni.
Savannah Country Day School is an Early Childhood–Grade 12 co-educational day school of about 900 students. The school is one of the strongest in the Southeast. Our students go on from SCDS to excel at colleges all over the country.
