ARTS COMMUNICATIONS DIGITAL ADMINISTRATOR , Office of the Arts , to promote the Arts at MIT by creating and sharing digital content, with primary responsibility for social media and digital asset management. Responsibilities include creating succinct and engaging content for use on social media platforms, newsletters, and the website; researching, collecting, and posting content; engaging with digital audiences to grow followers and develop online communities; maintaining, monitoring, and optimizing social media platforms and any related marketing strategies; gathering and analyze performance metrics; staying knowledgeable about current trends in social media and digital marketing; creating digital assets for social media and newsletters; uploading, tagging, organizing, captioning, and archiving images/videos on the Arts at MIT YouTube channel and Flickr; assisting the web administrator with content updates; acting as the point person for the Arts at MIT for social media; and performing other tasks as assigned.
Job Requirements REQUIRED : B.A./B.S. in a creative arts or communications discipline; three years' digital communications experience; willingness and ability to keep up with current social media trends and best practices, new software platforms, and web analytics; initiative; ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities and meet deadlines? ability to work as an independent contributor and as a member of a team within a culturally diverse community? flexibility? collaborative approach to innovation, problem-solving, and working across organizational boundaries with technical and nontechnical staff and faculty? and excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must have technical mastery of Twitter; Facebook; Instagram; YouTube; Soundcloud; Hootsuite; Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, and InDesign; and WordPress and the ability to learn other software as needed.
