This recruitment is for a Temporary Marketing Specialist II position through UCI's internal temporary service.
Essential Job Functions:
Under the supervision of the Controller for the UCI Alumni Association, the Temporary Marketing Specialist II curates social media content on various platforms using consistent brand voice on all communications and postings. Maintains relevant social media presence. Produces mass emails for events and works with staff, campus partners and corporate partners on joint initiatives. Writes and edits copy for newsletters, alumni profiles, and web content. Creates graphic images for email marketing, online advertising, electronic displays, and website design. Produces, coordinates, writes, and scripts video and social productions. Troubleshoots and researches technical digital communications issues. Takes photography and video for UCIAA related events and programs.
Compensation Range: $23.47 to 26.00/hr, depending on experience
Previous professional experience in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, or similar field
Graphic design and video editing experience (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, PremierPro or iMovie)
Ability to create and curate written digital and social media content
Ability to support email marketing efforts (Marketing Cloud)
Strong project management skills and willingness to take initiative
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, or similar field
Previous experience working in a university setting or higher education
