Willis Knighton Health, a nationally recognized leader in healthcare innovation, is seeking a visionary Director of Marketing & Communications to develop, implement, measure, and optimize integrated marketing strategies that align with and advance the organization’s strategic business objectives. This role will lead the teams responsible for consumer marketing strategies, advertising (including brand, service line, reputation, and foundation), brand management, market research, market analysis, and media/public relations. The Director will ensure that marketing programs deliver measurable ROI and contribute to the organization's mission, growth, and success.
Key Responsibilities
Brand Strategy: Develop and implement a robust brand strategy that aligns with Willis Knighton Health’s mission and strategic priorities. Define and refine brand positioning, voice, and identity to resonate across all audiences and channels.
Digital Platforms: Oversee social media strategy and in collaboration with IT, the website and intranet, to optimize engagement and usability.
Communication Growth Plans: Partner with stakeholders to design, execute, and evaluate communication strategies that support organizational growth.
Internal and External Communications: Craft compelling communication plans to elevate Willis Knighton’s mission and values. Build strong media relationships and lead crisis communication efforts.
Media & Public Relations: Oversee the management of all press inquiries/interactions, drafting of high-level statements, and the cultivation of relationships with local and national journalists.
Department Operations: Manage departmental operations, including project workflows, media purchasing, SEO (Search Engine Optimization), and reputation management. Develop and manage budgets to achieve strategic goals and ROI.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with various departments (e.g., research, clinical, community engagement, and others) to maintain brand consistency and develop a strong employer brand strategy.
Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and mentor marketing staff, fostering a culture of high performance and professional growth.
Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor KPIs to evaluate the success of marketing and communication efforts, adjusting strategies as needed.
Writing and Presenting: Have proficient writing skills and ability to present to small and large groups of internal and external stakeholders.

Lead the execution of consumer marketing strategies across multiple platforms, including digital, print, broadcast, and emerging media.
Oversee advertising initiatives, focusing on building brand equity, enhancing service line awareness, promoting national reputation, and driving recruitment.
Lead market research and analysis efforts to identify trends, assess competitive landscapes, and support strategic decision-making.
Manage external agencies and vendors to ensure high-quality execution of marketing initiatives.
Monitor and report on marketing performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations for optimization.
Minimum Education
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Health Care Administration, Public Administration or other related field. (Required)
Master's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Health Care Administration, Public Administration or other related field. (Preferred)
Minimum Work Experience
10 years of progressive related experience (Required).
5 years of Supervisory/management experience in a health-related job function. (Required)
