About the Position:
This position will support the CARES Act program from February 2021 through September 2021. It is a part-time; 29 hour per week (on average) position.
Serve as an e-commerce and digital marketing industry specialist for Virginia SBDC Network staff and clients;
Provide advising and counseling for Virginia SBDC Network clients in the areas of building a business online and related topics;
Assist clients in identifying and prioritizing needs in the areas of digital marketing and e-commerce; report and track activities in client management database (Center IC);
Develop and deliver training via webinars and social media on e-commerce and digital marketing topics;
Develop and/or contribute content to VirginiaSBDC.org website and social media outlets;
Act as a resource as needed to the entire Virginia SBDC network and coordinate with Center directors to determine regional client needs; and
Collaborate and coordinate deliverables with CARES Act Program Manager and Virginia SBDC State Director. br>
Minimum 3 years of digital marketing and e-commerce expertise;
Detail oriented, methodical person with excellent communication skills;
Familiarity with top e-commerce platforms for small businesses include Shopify, Etsy, Facebook Shops, Amazon and Amazon Handmade;
Graphic design skills and an understanding of design as part of integration of visual, language and video communication;
Understanding of SEO, SEM, and analytics;
Understanding of WordPress from an editing and upgrading perspective;
Understanding of social media and email marketing tools and practices; and
Experience with Microsoft Office suite.
Bachelor's degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience; and
Five years of related industry experience.
Salary: up to $50/hour; commensurate with education and experience
