The Digital Marketing Manager is an expert in showcasing the value of MOAA membership to the military community. This individual will create and manage product-specific communications and marketing campaigns, build email marketing strategies, and develop analytical insights to inform future initiatives and drive growth and engagement. In addition, the Digital Marketing Manager will provide marketing expertise and strategy in support of MOAA’s affinity partnerships.
Responsibilitiesinclude but are not limited to:
Develop seasonal marketing plans for assigned campaigns in coordination with marketing program managers and key stakeholders.
Coordinate and execute departmental email campaigns. Includes preparing copy, identifying list segments, developing testing strategies, working with designers, ensuring quality assurance, and reporting results.
Provide marketing managers and key stakeholders with ongoing analytics and offer insights and recommendations to enhance marketing efforts.
Provide guidance to ensure email deliverability, list hygiene and sender reputation of MOAA email programs.
Serve as in-house subject matter expert on email marketing strategy and best practices. Maintain strong focus on developing and refining email marketing plans to drive increased member engagement across products and services.
Manage email communication calendar of campaigns, events, offers, and messaging to support marketing plans.
Inform marketing team of key learnings, identify opportunities, and implement changes through analytical insights to improve member engagement and growth.
Develop engaging campaigns to communicate the value proposition of MOAA partner products and services. Includes working directly with partners to develop and manage the execution of membership plans for MOAA.
Develop, manipulate, and test html files using templates to accommodate changes and solve rendering challenges.
Work with internal teams to develop strong go-to-market launch plans and deliver assets to support these plans.
Serve as list coordinator for direct marketing efforts. Includes running queries, managing lists, and fulfilling ad hoc data requests.
Acts as special projects manager, as needed.
Serves on cross-functional teams, as needed, to communicate and support marketing initiatives.
Supports the Membership Committee of the Board of Directors.
Serves as a member of the outreach team, representing MOAA at conferences and tradeshows, as needed.

Skills, Attributes, Knowledge Required:
Ability to manage marketing processes, tactics and vendors; work with other business units, manage expectations, and drive marketing strategies.
Skills to analyze data and draw conclusions about the effectiveness of new initiatives.
Ability to communicate effectively with members and staff, using written and verbal skills.
Capable of operating with minimum supervision, managing multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines, and keeping abreast of details from the planning stage through completion.
High proficiency in Adobe Dreamweaver, Word, Outlook, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
Experience working in email marketing platforms (BlueHornet), analytics platforms (i.e., Google Analytics), and marketing automation platforms, a plus.
Experience with CRM Systems (Personify or Fonteva), a plus.
Professional Qualifications and Education Requirements:
Two to five years of experience in marketing, communications, or public relations.
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
Proven experience integrating multi-channel marketing efforts as part of a larger strategic initiative.
