The internship position will expose the student to the communications aspect of working at an international airport and with the airline industry. The intern will receive hands-on experience in communications activities, including branding and all forms of owned, earned, and paid media (advertising, public relations, events, social media, website development/deployment, digital marketing, etc.).

Create content for the Airport Authority’s news platform, Blue Sky News.
Assist with media relations: writes news releases, prepares background information, prepares staff media statements, and maintains media lists.
Provide writing support for materials including, newsletters, social media, and website content.
Support planning and execution of Airport events.
Write and edit text for a variety of print and digital materials.
Design and format communication materials.
Contribute to communication/media strategies.
Perform other related tasks as assigned or required.
The successful candidate for the Marketing & Communications Intern role will exhibit the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:

Proficient in Microsoft Office and contain basic computer skills

The minimum requirements needed to qualify for the Marketing & Communications Intern role are:
Must currently be enrolled in school as a second year (or above) undergraduate from an accredited four-year college or university in Communications, Hospitality, Travel/Tourism, International Studies/languages, or Business.
