Job Description Summary Reporting to the Director of Brand and Creative Services, the Assistant Director, Marketing Operations collaborates with internal partners and the design team to deliver high-quality, on-brand marketing and creative services. The ideal candidate will be comfortable navigating a range of projects across web, email, direct mail, branding, multi-media and experiential. The Assistant Director will need to effectively manage internal partners / stakeholders and designers / web developers, cultivating relationships and influencing as appropriate.
Project/traffic management:Review project requests andexecuteproject set upprocesses.Working with marketing and creative services colleagues, help partners on campus define their marketing objectives, audiences, messaging and tactics, ultimately producing briefs for creative projects.Collaboratewith business partnersto determine schedule and resources necessaryfor each project.Facilitate communication between partners and creative services re content, approvals and deadlines.Ensure work delivers on strategy, on schedule and on time.
Bentley.edu content calendar.Develop and maintain content calendar for Bentley.edu home page assets.Collaborate with content and enrollment teams on recommendations for hero image, headlines and other key positions / assets. Work withdigital marketing team and developerson any new feature requests. Track engagement metrics. Ensure homepage remains mobile friendly and ADA compliant.
Marketing operations:Understand--and when possible, improve upon- theteams' project management tools and processes.Become a “power user” for Drupal, Wrike,WebdamandSharePointand be able to answer questions, troubleshootand train new users.Collaborate on the development and use of brand assets and advocate for a template-driven approach when appropriate.
Create and update content across Bentley.edu in collaboration with marketing and business partners.
Support multimedia producer with photo and video shoots - from pre-production to post. Manage freelancers.
Support magazine team by developing schedules, drafting briefs and ensuring deadlinesare met.
Opportunities to develop skills in web site design, photography, video and social media / content.
Educate partners on our university brand standards and practices.
Bachelor's degree required;B.S/B.A. in Marketing or similar undergraduate degree
1-3 years project management experience; Internships, co-ops and work study experience considered
Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to foster collaborative relationships with partners, creative team and developers
Proficiency in managing multiple projects at a time, at the highest level, with competing deadlines in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Excellent collaboration, organizational, time management, customer service and problem-solving skills
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Experience managing clients / projects in an agency setting
Experience in higher education marketing and branding, working with faculty, staff and administration
Experience overseeing both print and digital asset development and production
Innovative and has a passion for continued learning about latest industry trends, best practices and tools to be used by the department
Typical office setting with extensive sitting and computer work
Ability to travel around campus for work related meetings and events
