Maryland Pharmacists Association is seeking a talented Marketing and Engagement Coordinator to join our small staff. The coordinator is responsible for supporting the organization’s marketing and communications efforts by developing compelling, content-rich, timely and well-branded communications and marketing materials that showcase MPhA and its affiliated organizations across a variety of electronic, print and broadcast platforms. The coordinator will be responsible for deliverables that elevate MPhA’s strategic vision related to membership recruitment and retention; programs and events; and public relations. The coordinator will work closely with the Executive Director and Director of Programs to keep members, donors, partners and community stakeholders informed, engaged and connected.
Develop and implement communication strategies and tools designed to further MPhA’s objectives
Perform outreach to press outlets, magazines, influencers and build strategic partnerships to grow MPhA brand
Collect and use data to inform, track and evaluate membership and event marketing, development and outreach efforts
Track MPhA members, staff and organizational activities published in the media
Draft and edit content for press releases, presentations social media posts, newsletter and email communications
Research and compile lists of strategic partners and target markets
Manage website content
Support the development of Executive Director presentations
Support MPhA Awards program
Serve as staff liaison to Communications and Membership committees
Other duties as assigned
Bachelor's Degree required with concentration in marketing, communications or related field preferred; professional association experience a plus
Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact and collaborate with individuals at all professional levels
Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, Constant Contact, Social Media platforms
Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously and adhere to deadlines.
Exceptional attention to detail and time management skills.
Availability for monthly evening conference calls and occasional weekend events
The position is primarily remote, with occasional in-person time for events, training and/or staff collaboration.
The Maryland Pharmacists Association (MPhA), established in 1882, has a membership of 1,200 and is the only state-wide professional society representing all practicing pharmacists.
MPhA is an affiliated state organization with the American Pharmaceutical Association (APhA), American Society of Consultant Pharmacists (ASCP), and the National Community Pharmacists Association (NCPA).
