This position will oversee the development, coordination and implementation of marketing plans as well as sales campaigns for UTA athletics. This position will be responsible for assisting with building revenue generation, game day atmosphere, branding and campus outreach engagement.
Direct all marketing efforts and promotional campaigns for UTA Volleyball, Baseball, and Tennis. In conjunction with the assistant director of outbound sales, support the development and growth of group sales campaigns for assigned sports. Developing promotional days for specific sport to assist in generating revenue. Will creating marketing campaigns for specific promotional game days to generate revenue for specific sport. Will work with both internal departments, corporate sponsors, and outside persons to market promotional game days. Create a comprehensive uta campus outreach plan that utilizes best Marketing practices to increase visibility, awareness, and attendance across all UTA athletic events. Manage all MavCity student loyalty rewards program advertising and Fulfillment across UTA athletic events. Assist in the development and maintenance of a marketing communications calendar (e.g., allocation of digital ad inventory, email marketing and newsletter content, radio inventory, etc.). Serve as on floor promotions coordinator for Men’s & Women’s Basketball. In conjunction with the assistant athletics director of marketing, recruit, train and manage day-to-day responsibilities of student interns. Assist in compiling season wrap-ups for various sports, to include attendance analysis, promotion details, ticket promos, and expenses. Performs other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or a related field. Five (5) years of experience with three (3) of those years in marketing or the equivalent experience. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously; six individual programs with individual needs (resource allocation). Developing the capabilities of other people; ability to teach and train. Ability to motivate student workers to feel part of a team and make a significant contribution. Basic skills in layout and graphic design and complete competence with Microsoft Office Suite software. Able to create strong relationships (special events, ticket office, communications, corporate partners, etc.).
